In the post-Cold War era, economic globalization has become a significant topic of debate among Christian social scientists. The ongoing integration of markets presents the international community with numerous economic opportunities as well as a variety of moral challenges. This paper surveys the Catholic Church's ongoing response to dialogue concerning the process of economic globalization. The Catholic Church attempts a constant engagement of Gospel values with the realities of the modern world by applying the principles of Catholic social teaching to the vicissitudes of the social order. In particular, this paper highlights the application of significant principles of Catholic social thought to globalization, taking into account many of the major statements released by the Church.
